Seidu Umar and Emmanuel Nii Odoi emerged victors in their respective categories in this year's World Amateur Bodybuilding Association (WABBA) District Championship and Vandals Ironman Challenge in a fascinating contest held in the Amphi Theater at the Commonwealth Hall of the University of Ghana.
Umar out-muscled all competitive contestants in the men's bodybuilding contest as he demonstrated his prowess on the podium, with all judges giving him the nod over Emmanuel Nii Odoi, on the other hand was a great sensation to watch as he maneuvered his way past all competition in the men's physique which saw some really exciting thrills.
In all 20 athletes qualified for the Regional Championship slated for April 21st, 2018, as it culminates the biggest bodybuilding and fitness conference dubbed the Face of Fitness Gh Conference.
In an interview with GNA Sports, President of WABBA Ghana, Victor Baiden, was amazed by the talent on display at the district Championship and was already looking forward to this weekend event.
''The district championship was very thrilling with various athletes trying to secure a spot in the Regional Championship.
“I congratulate the athletes who made it to the next round and I wish them well and they should train well.
''For the conference this weekend, it promises to be very exciting and we are expecting all fitness practitioners to participate in this event,'' he added.
The Face of Fitness GH Conference would be held at International Students Guest Centre inside Oyarifa on Saturday, 21st April, 2018.
