TNT will tip off the 2018-19 NBA regular season with an Autotrader Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, Oct. 16, featuring the defending NBA Champion Golden State Warriors with Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant hosting the Oklahoma City Thunder with Paul George at 10:30 p.m. ET. In the night’s first game, Eastern Conference contenders will meet – the Philadelphia 76ers with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons vs. the Boston Celtics with Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward – at 8 p.m. This year will mark the 23rd straight season TNT has tipped off the NBA season with two games on opening night.
LeBron James’ highly-anticipated Los Angeles Lakers debut vs. the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard will be featured on the network’s continuing coverage of Autotrader Premiere Weekon Thursday, Oct. 18, at 10:30 p.m. The doubleheader will begin with the 76ers hosting the Chicago Bulls and off-season addition Jabari Parker at 8 p.m.
Kevin Harlan will provide play-by-play for Sixers/Celtics with analyst Reggie Miller and reporter Ros Gold-Onwude. Marv Albert will call the Thunder/Warriors telecast with analysts Chris Webber and reporter Kristen Ledlow. Harlan, Miller and Allie LaForce will call the Bulls/Sixers game, with Albert, Webber and Ledlow on Lakers/Blazers.
NBA TV will tip off its 107-game regular season schedule with five games in four nights, beginning Saturday, Oct. 20 when the new-look Toronto Raptors and Kawhi Leonard meet the Washington Wizards and John Wall at 7 p.m.
