The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) on behalf of all the various National Sports Federations, has wished Asante Kotoko well, ahead of their upcoming CAF Confederation match against Nkana FC in Zambia on Sunday, February 24.
Kotoko face a stern task against the Zambian giants and would be looking forward to a positive results, which could propel them to the next stage of this year's competition.
A statement signed by the President of GOC, Mr. Ben Nunno Mensah, showers praises on the Porcupine Warriors as they remained Ghana's only shinning light in international sports.
“We wish to congratulate Dr. Kwame Kyei, who speaks little but does a lot, coach C.K Akunor, who I worked with at Hearts of Oak and the entire Management Team and players for what they have been able to achieve so far.
“We at the GOC are very hopeful that Kotoko’s outstanding performance would pave way for our football activities to resurrect again and Ghana would take her rightful place on the continent.''
The statement also urged the team to prove their worth and make the country proud, as they appealed to Ghanaians to render their unflinching support for the team.
