Lagos-based golfer Sunday Olapade emerged victorious at the 2023 Goldfields PGA Championship in Damang, securing his win in a thrilling playoff against Ghana's Kojo Barnni during last Saturday's finals.
In a remarkable display on the tournament's fourth and final day, Olapade triumphed over the defending champion and 2017/2018 title-holder, Kojo Barnni, claiming not only the championship trophy but also a substantial cash prize of 80,000 Ghanaian cedis and the prestigious championship blue jacket.

Vincent Torgah, a former champion in 2014, 2016, and 2021, secured the third position, while Augustine Manasseh claimed the fourth spot.
In the seniors category, Emos Korblah clinched the top position, and Constance Awuni emerged victorious among the aspiring female professional players.
