A number of journalists covering the championship have also cited challenges with accreditation processing, internet connectivity, workspace arrangements and access to timely competition information.

The championship, which has attracted athletes and officials from across Africa, was expected to showcase Ghana’s readiness to host major international sporting events.

However, the concerns over operational setbacks have affected the overall experience for competitors and media personnel.

Despite the organisational concerns, competitions have continued at the event, with athletes competing in various track and field disciplines for medals and qualification opportunities.

Officials are yet to issue a comprehensive response to the complaints, although some organisers have reportedly assured participants that efforts are being made to address the logistical and operational difficulties.
