The New Patriotic Party (NPP) members and sympathizers have been urged to observe the country's electoral laws to ensure violence-free polls on 7 December.
Mr. Edwin Philips, Presiding Member of the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly, who gave the advice, also called on members of the party to intensify their campaigns to enable the NPP to win the elections.
He was speaking at the outdooring of a 10-member executive of the Western Region branch of the "One-touch" movement of the NPP, on Friday at Takoradi
Mr. Edwin Philips said the NPP's eight years administration had laid solid foundation for all sectors of the economy.
He said it was prudent for the electorate to retain the party in power to enable it to continue with its developmental process.
Mr. Philips said even though the NPP enjoys massive support from the people of the region, there should be no room for complacency and charged party activists to work harder to ensure a convincing victory.
Mr. Kweku Sam Amoah, chairman of the Movement, said the group sought to assist the party to win the elections in the first round of voting.
He said members of the Movement have taken their campaigns to the door-steps of students, traders, drivers and artisans, and were working hard to win the support of floating voters to make the victory for the NPP a "foregone conclusion".
Other members of the movement were Mr. Arkaah Gyasi, vice Chairman, Mr. Anane Bruce, secretary and Madam Edna Nyame, treasurer.
