Mr Peter Arde-Kodwo, National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Evalue Gwira said an NDC government would accelerate development programmes to reduce poverty and unemployment to stamp out crime.
Addressing hundreds of NDC supporters at the launch of his campaign at Axim on Tuesday, he said the party would also invest in the people to improve human resource of the country for steady development if given the mandate in the December elections.
Mr Arde-Kodwo said an NDC government, under the presidency of Professor John Evans Atta Mills, would ensure economic transformation of the country.
Dr Sipha Yankey, member of the Atta Mills Campaign Team said the NDC would bring back the bamboo factory at Axim to generate employment for the youth.
He gave the assurance that NDC would not interfere in the sale of pre-mix fuel to fishermen, instead, the fishermen would be given the free hand to manage their own fuel supplies.
He said outboard motors would be assembled in the country to make them affordable to the fishermen.
Mr Joseph Cobinah, Western Regional Secretary of the party said the NDC had no interest of sharing political power with any party and would win the elections massively to bring back hope to the people.
