Voting in Election 2008 by special duty staffs is progressing steadily throughout the country with no untoward incident being reported so far.
Security services personnel and other workers, who would be on duty on December 7, are voting on Tuesday.
At the four Cantonments Police Station Polling Centres of the Dade Kotopon Constituency where about 4,000 voters are expected to cast their votes, everything was progressing smoothly when the Ghana News Agency visited at 0835 hours.
The Presiding Officer of Polling Centre One and Two, Mr Enoch Dornu said there had been no incident except that they had just received a directive that only those, who registered in the constituency, where the special voting was taking place, could vote in both the presidential and parliamentary elections while those, who registered in other constituencies could vote only in presidential election.
He said New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Conventions People's Party (CPP) agents had reported, adding that only those three parties filed to contest the Dade Kotopon Parliamentary Seat, which is at present occupied by the NDC.
At Polling Centre Three and Four, the Presiding Officer, Mr Peter Amoah Amponsah said 280 voters had exercised their franchise. He said there had been no untoward incident and everything was progressing smoothly.
All the four polling centres had long queues of voters waiting patiently to cast their vote.
All the party agents told GNA that they were satisfied with what had gone on so far.
