Voting by Security Services personnel at Osu Police Station Polling Centre in the Osu Clottey constituency started in earnest on schedule at 0700 hours but soon stalled as result of a number of factors.
The Presiding Officer Mr Clement Adonai told the GNA that his problems with the voters began when it turned out that the list of names of prospective voters was not in the alphabetical order making the process of name identification very slow and arduous and thus generating misunderstanding.
The voters also did not understand why those who registered in other constituencies but were asked to cast their votes at the polling centre were allowed to vote in the presidential election only and not the parliamentary.
However, Officers from the Electoral Commission arrived later and after discussions, the problems were solved and voting resumed.
The voter turnout was heavy.
