The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) is the party with demonstrable commitment to healing the social, economic and political grievances in the country.
"The CPP has engaged in a clean campaign devoid of attacks on political opponents," Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom, the party's Presidential candidate said at a rally in Jasikan in the Buem constituency.
He said the party's issues-based campaigning is a practical demonstration of its ability to reach out to its opponents on all issues based on mutual respect and trust if voted into power.
Dr Ndoum therefore urged voters to reflect on their living conditions as a barometer for determining which party and Presidential candidate deserved their mandate.
He urged voters in the Volta region to try the CPP just as they did the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in previous elections.
Dr Ndoum reiterated the CPP's commitment to job creation, just as its founder and mentor Dr Kwame Nkrumah, the country's first President, who demonstrated that a happy people were those for whom employment was a fundamental right that must be guaranteed by the state.
Mr Kwabena Osei-Boahene, CPP parliamentary candidate for Buem said the constituency needed a visionary leader like him to represent its people in parliament.
Meanwhile former President Jerry John Rawlings told a rally at Kadjebi in the Akan constituency of the Volta region that the NPP does not deserve a new mandate because its policies and programmes have not favoured the people.
He said parties are voted into power to pursue policies and programmes that promote the welfare of the citizenry.
Former President Rawlings therefore urged supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to comport themselves on election day, while remaining vigilant to ensure that the verdict of the electorate through the ballot box was protected.
