Members of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) branch of New Patriotic Party (NPP) have appealed to Ghanaians to remain united and exercise their franchise which is their social responsibility and civility.
They called on all the contestants to put politics behind them and seek the cause of Ghana's development.
These were contained in a press release signed by Mr Kofi Asante, Chairman of KNUST Branch of NPP in Kumasi on Tuesday.
However, they called on Ghanaians who shared the dreams, aspirations and vision of the Party and 'Believe in Ghana' to vote for the Party to advance its structural transformation in line with the set goals enshrined in the Party's motto of "Development in Freedom."
They reminded Ghanaians of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's fight against the era of silence, as a result of which the citizenry were enjoying their freedom.
Wishing all the contestants success during the election they said "We are mindful of the fact that only a Presidential Candidate would emerge and declared President-elect and handed over the reins of Government on January 9, 2009."
They wished all Ghanaians Merry Christmas and Prosperous Happy New Year, adding "We would enter the New Year with a new team and leader."
