The major political parties, the NPP, NDC and the CPP, have been cautioned not to allow their partisan interest to overshadow the primary reason for seeking political power.
Mr. Kwesi Amoafo-Yeboah, the independent Presidential Candidate said in a statement on Wednesday; "As we approach Decision 2008,it is evidently clear that the major political parties are hell-bent on retaining or recapturing political power at any cost.
"Our quest to seek the mandate of the people of Ghana is primarily to serve the interest of the people and not derail their hopes for a peaceful and prosperous Ghana", he added.
"Consequently, I wish to entreat all Ghanaians, particularly, the Youth who constitute the bedrock of our country's socio-economic development, to resist any instruction by any politician to provoke or counter any provocation which might spark anarchy during voting, counting and the declaration of the final results."
Mr Amoafo-Yeboah said Ghana must remain intact, without violence, "otherwise we would have failed in this entire exercise".
