Mrs. Ernestina Barnahene, Sekondi- Takoradi Metropolitan Electoral Officer, on Tuesday described the special voting in the metropolis as successful.
She said the credit must go to the Security Services, the staff of the Electoral Commission (EC) and the polling agents who "were on top of the job and did not interfere in the voting process".
Mrs Barnahene said the intensive training organized for the party agents by the EC and the high level of public awareness was another contribution factor.
She noted that the confusion that occurred at some polling stations were as a result of misunderstanding relating to the electoral process by some polling agents.
Mrs Barnahene hoped that the December 7th polls would be equally successful.
She said 1,089 persons voted for the Parliamentary Candidates and 1,103 for the Presidential Candidates at the Police Reserve Polling Centre at Takoradi.
Mrs Barnahene said in all 12 ballot papers were rejected.
