Members of Islamic Organisation for the Welfare of Muslim Communities (ISOWMC) has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to ensure electoral materials were available at all polling stations to ensure smooth election.
They appealed to political parties, candidates and the electorate to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations governing the electoral process and desist from provocative utterances during and after the election.
Deliberating on political, education and socio-economic development of the country at the end of a three-day extra-ordinary review meeting in Kumasi on Wednesday, the members said Ghanaians should have confidence in the electoral process and nothing should be done to derail the progress so far made over the years in the democratic dispensation.
They appealed to Muslims to vote massively for the NPP saying that, the Party had brought peace and development to the country and Ghanaians had to thank God.
On education, they resolved to facilitate quality education for all Muslims by 2015 stressing that, they would engage the services of renowned Muslim Scholars to mentor the upcoming Muslim youth to take education serious.
Commenting on the current spate of highway robbery in the country, they recommended that the security agencies intensified their patrols and make it a permanent feature.
They also entreated Government to ensure that the security services especially, the police were well resourced to enable them deal with nation wreckers.
