Pakistan has registered the incidents of attacks on three terminals of containers carrying goods for Afghanistan-based NATO forces and sealed all the three terminals, according to local press reports on Monday.
Militants set on fire a third terminal in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar Monday in which about 50 Afghanistan- bound vehicles and containers were destroyed, according to the private NNI news agency.
The vehicles and containers were loaded with goods which were being sent to the NATO forces in Afghanistan.
The NNI quoted police sources as saying that unidentified gunmen set on fire the vehicles and containers at the Bilal terminal in Peshawar, the capital of the North West Frontier Province.
Rescue workers and fire brigade have brought the fire under control.
On Sunday, gunmen blasted their way into two transport terminals in Peshawar and torched more than 160 vehicles destined for US-led troops in Afghanistan, in the biggest assault yet on a vital military supply line, officials said.
However, a US military spokeswoman said that the losses in the pre-dawn raid would have "minimal" impact on anti-Taliban operations.
