US Secretary of State Hillary Rhodam Clinton said on Wednesday that she would be present at the annual ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Foreign Ministers meeting and ASEAN Regional Forum in Bangkok, Thailand in July.
Clinton made the statement in a joint press conference after meeting with ASEAN Secretary General Surin Pitsuwan at the ASAEN headquarters in Jakarta.
"I told Secretary Surin that I will participate in the ASEAN Foreign Ministerial and ASEAN Regional Forum meetings in Bangkok in July," Clinton said.
Former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice skipped the ASEAN Regional Forum twice during her four years in office.
