The United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will exchange diplomatic notes on Thursday bringing into force the peaceful nuclear cooperation deal between the two countries, the State Department said on Wednesday.
"Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Ellen Tauscher will exchange diplomatic notes bringing into force the United States-United Arab Emirates Agreement for Peaceful Nuclear Cooperation on Thursday," said a statement.
Under the agreement, which was signed by the two governments in January this year, the United States will share nuclear fuels, technologies and
know-how on the condition that the UAE pledges to adhere to the highest standards of nonproliferation.
