The chief of Azulenloanu,Nana Addo Nreda V, has appealed to President John Dramani Mahama to appoint more Nzemas to serve in his government as his predecessor, President John Atta Mills did.
According to him, Nzemas who had served in government were known to be hardworking,disciplined and dedicated to duty.
Nana Nreda V recalled the era of Dr.Kwame Nkrumah when a number of Nzemas served in his government due to the trust and confidence he reposed in them.
The traditional ruler made the appeal during an interaction with the Ghana News Agency at Azulenloanu,a farming community in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region.
Nana Nreda said it was only the NDC-led administration which usually appointed sons and daughters from Nzemaland to key and sensitive positions in government.
He cited the current Deputy Minister for Energy and MP for Ellembelle, Mr. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister for Education, Mr. Lee Ocran, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt.Gen. Augustine Peter Blay, and the Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Gsa Company and former Minister of Health, Mr. George Adja Sipa Yankey, among others.
The chief told the GNA that Nzemas had voted massively for the NDC due to the numerous developmental projects in the area and the oil and gas processing project cited in the area which had created employment for most of the people, especially the youth.
Nana Nreda V assured President Mahama that Nzemas in his government will never let him down but give of their best to realize the Better Ghana Agenda.
He therefore asked Nzemas to rally behind the NDC government because unlike the NPP administrtion, the former had the development of the area at heart.
