Huawei has said it is willing to sign a "no back door" agreement with the Indian government, according to local media reports in India.
A “back door” is a term used to describe a secret entry point in software or a computer system that gives access to the person or entity who installed it to the inner workings of the system.
It's part of a wider push by the Chinese telecoms company to ease concerns, led by the US, that its products pose a national security risk.
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo holds talks with Indian officials during his trip to the country on Wednesday. It's thought the Huawei issue is likely to come up in talks.
