We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant with a background in retail and manufacturing industries to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices specific to the retail/manufacturing sector.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day accounting activities of the retail/manufacturing organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, inventory control, and fixed asset management.


• Perform regular financial analysis to evaluate business performance, identify trends, and provide insights for management decision-making.


• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and adherence to internal controls.


• Coordinate and oversee the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, collaborating with department heads and senior management.


• Monitor inventory levels, analyze variances, and implement strategies to optimize inventory turnover and minimize carrying costs.


• Conduct periodic cost analyses to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement within the retail/manufacturing operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant in a retail or manufacturing environment.


• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards, particularly as they relate to retail and manufacturing industries.


• Proficiency in using accounting software and systems to record transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.


• Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and inventory control functions.


• Solid understanding of inventory valuation methods, cost accounting principles, and production costing.
