JOB DESCRIPTION

 

REPORTING TO:  THE FINANCE MANAGER

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Raising payroll journal and posting same into the system


2. Raising vouchers before postings to be vetted by Finance Manager before Posting.


3. Carrying out Monthly Bank Reconciliation exercises


4. Maintain Fixed assets register and Fixed assets schedules


5. Preparation of Monthly management accounts and other financial reports


6. Undertaking Monthly Debtors’ and creditors’ reconciliations


7. Annual returns for dispensation for self-invoicing


8. Monthly statutory returns to G. R. A, (VAT, WHT & PAYE) & SSNIT.


9. Raising of JVs for other than Payroll related and capture of same.


10. Credit Control activities, including Debtors accounts maintenance


11. Deputizing for the Finance Manager in the absence of the Finance Manager.


12. Reporting daily on balances to the Directors, and Financial Controller.


13. Any other lawful duty as directed by the Finance Manager


14. Assist in internal and external audits, interaction with the auditors, addressing the non-conformities by the auditors and their resolution in consultation with the Finance Manager


15.  Monitor the process of materials and stores accounting, reconciliations between finance and stores records, stocks verification processes,


16. Ensure the integrity of the general ledger to ensure the correctness of the finance reports, and the provisioning of the expenses.
