• Designing and analyzing structural systems, including beams, columns, and foundations, to ensure they meet safety and performance requirements.
• Conducting feasibility studies and developing detailed project plans, including cost estimates and construction schedules.
• Preparing and submitting permit applications to regulatory agencies, such as local planning departments or the Environmental Protection Agency.
• Overseeing construction and installation of structural components, monitoring progress and quality of work.
• Testing materials and performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.
• Collaborating with architects and other professionals to develop design plans that incorporate structural requirements and aesthetic considerations.
• Evaluating the environmental impact of construction projects and recommending strategies to mitigate negative effects.
• Advising clients and stakeholders on the technical aspects of construction projects, including cost estimates, timelines, and building codes.
• Reviewing and approving contractor bids and negotiating contracts.
• Staying up to date with advances in materials, technologies, and building codes to ensure that projects are built to the latest standards and regulations
