Responsibility: The role has the overall responsibility for preparing achievable schedules and schedule updates as well as monitoring and comparing progress to agreed baselines. Core Duties: 1. Prepares the final construction program under the supervision of the General Manager Construction (GMC). Deliver a project program to meet the customer’s expectations and performance targets. 2. Updates (on monthly basis) the progress on various projects in consultation with the site managers/ coordinator 3. Prepares the resource plan, spending curve (s - curve) analysis of projects at all stages precontract, contract and post contract phases. 4. Prepares the material forecast in consultation with the project managers and submit monthly procurement forecast to the GMC/PM. 5. Agrees on the baselines to be created and monitored with the project managers for the General Manager Construction/PM approval. 6. Inputs the final cost allocations to the construction program as provided by the Quantity Surveyor’s office. 7. Assist in the preparation of tender documents with the estimators and report to the Commercial Manager/PM. Prepares method statements for potential projects and coordinating all. 8. Alongside the project managers identifies potential risk on various projects and report to management. 9. Ensuring respective projects comply with agreed project schedules and milestone targets; and appropriately updating management on any slippage and the way forward through reports. Qualifications (Minimum level necessary to perform the job) • Bachelor’s Degree /HND in a relevant field of study • Minimum of Five (5) years of experience in a similar role Core Skills & Experience • Thorough knowledge and a complete understanding of financial and contractual aspects of the project construction • Ability to make sound and rational judgments and decisions • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, guide and motivate teams. • A solution-oriented person who can come up with creative and positive ideas to get work done • Assertive, diligent and attention to details • Fluent in reading and speaking English • Knowledge of building and construction • Time management skills How to Apply Please email a CV and covering letter explaining why you are interested in this position and indicate “Project Planner “in the subject title.
