• Have high product knowledge to answer questions and assist customers with information for buying decisions


• Must understand and be familiar with health benefits and uses of produce and products at the Branch


• Support Branch Supervisor in keeping track of items in promotion, specials, etc.


• Assist Branch Supervisor and Branch Manager in receiving and processing stock


• Conduct continuous checks in the shop to remerchandise items and keep products well organised on shelves


• Attend to and actively monitor produce and products on shelves, ensure produce at the Branch are fresh, safe and of highest quality state to customer requirements and report those close to expiration to the Branch Supervisor whilst ensuring produce useable in other units are appropriately transferred and/or processed


• Be well attired at all times, demonstrate a cheerful attitude, warmly welcome customers visiting the Branch and help them with shopping by creating the best fit between customer requirements and available products to ensure high quality customer service


• Assist the cashier as till packer when traffic in the shop is high


• Assist customers to their vehicle with purchased items when need be


• Ensure the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness at the Branch by carrying out general cleaning as per schedules established at opening, during and close of each working day, wash crates, mop floors


• Keep detergents and cleaning equipment well organised
