A progressive Ghanaian-owned animal feed manufacturing company in Kumasi is seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Electrician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems and equipment within the factory.The Industrial Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment and systems, including motors, breakers, sensors, and electrical control panels. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, safety-conscious, and has experience working with modern manufacturing equipment, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).

RESPONSIBILITIES

  Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical machinery, motors, sensors, breakers, and control panels.

  Ensure electrical systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and identify potential issues before they affect production.

  
  


• 
  

  Work with factory maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex electrical issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Apply knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices in all tasks.

  
  


• 
  

  Utilize Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and other automation tools to optimize production processes.

  
  


• 
  

  Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and electrical system modifications.

  
  


• 
  

  Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.

  
  

Requirements

• 
  

  HND or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.

  
  


• 
  

  Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience as an electrician in a manufacturing environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong knowledge of electrical components, wiring, circuits, and safety protocols.

  
  


• 
  

  Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) is highly desirable.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in computer software programs relevant to maintenance and reporting.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
