A reputable SME with over 30 years in the ventilation industry wishes to employ HVAC TECHNICIANS

Experience:  

Minimum of 3 – 5 years working experience with a reputable engineering company, / engineering distribution company. HVAC knowledge is an advantage.

Qualification / Requirements

• Minimum of NVTI Part 3


• Proven 3 years work experience as HVAC Technician


• Ability to understand and interpret complex schematic wiring diagrams


• Ability to install and troubleshoot HVAC equipment


• Ability to write reports


• Knowledge and adherence to Health and safety, and environment regulations and protocols


• Willingness to continue learning HVAC Technologies


• Ability to evaluate job-related safety hazards and employ accident prevention techniques


• Ability to use testing equipment in order to detect malfunctioning parts, and identify necessary repairs E.g. leak detector, thermometer, etc.


• Ability to use all types of tools relevant to your skill set and assigned task. E.g. Brazing and sundry equipment, vacuum pump, etc.


• Must demonstrate tool care


• Knowledge of HVAC Safety Standards and Protocols


• Familiar and experienced in customer service etiquette & sales techniques (e.g. upselling and cross-selling).

Job Brief

Core Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot and service Light Commercial, TVR and Applied systems


• Conduct electrical wiring, pressure testing, brazing, vacuuming, refrigerant charge, addressing (for TVR system) testing and commissioning, etc.

• Use computer skills to configure, control and maintain HVAC systems as well as generate relevant reports


• Troubleshoot faults of all types and repair defective units. This includes replacement of all faulty components to ensure that the equipment operates within the designed parameters


• Carry out inspection of clients’ premises or projects sites to determine requirements


• Prepare and send job cards for the day’s activities


• Carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on all HVAC systems
