Our client, an organic farm, is looking for a FOOD PROCESSING SUPERVISOR to help with their daily and general operations.

ROLE PROFILE

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various food processing activities and quality control. He/ she would also improve the quality control systems, and good manufacturing processes and ensure their adherence in all food processing activities.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in planning the monthly, weekly and daily schedule for processing.


• Maintain various food and food processing facility records.


• Oversee drying activities in solar tunnels and ensure quality output after drying.


• Review production reports and make adjustments as necessary.


• Monitor quality control by testing samples of the products.


• Responsible for any necessary repairs or maintenance to equipment or facility.


• Train new employees on quality food processing skills.


• Provide overall supervision of production activities.


• Plan, organise and lead a team of production workers to achieve production targets and output, cycle time, and yield.


• Responsible for maintaining product quality and productivity.


• Provide a guideline to check on processes thereby assuring that work is done by the operators.


• Ensure good housekeeping and safety at the workplace.
