Qualifications
A University Degree in human resource management or equivalent professional qualification
Total work experience between 12 - 15 years, out of which at 3 years work experience in a manufactory industry as HR Manager
Experience managing large workforce, between 250- 300 persons.
Must possess:
Excellent knowledge of the Company HR Policies and implementation. Good knowledge of Ghana labour laws
Good organizational skills with the ability to priorities workloads and manage time successfully
Good Computer & MS Office Skills
Hands on experience in MS Excel (Pivot table, Vlookup, Application of various formulas, preparing HRIS)

Description
The candidate's job duties will include:
Industrial Relations & Union Management
- Visit factory floor regularly, interact with workers with the view to knowing their problems, be proactive and resolve issues that could lead to down tool by workers
- Provide support for the review of CBAs by carrying out benefit surveys and participating in negotiations
- Interpret HR policies and labor legislation to factory managers and supervisors
- Ensure healthy Industrial Relations across the Unit
Personnel Administration
- Manage staff leave, prepares annual leave plan, Monitors and enforce implementation of leave plan
- Staff file management, ensure completion, correctness and regular update using the approved checklist
- Prepare monthly human resources report
- Process applications for loans, salary advances, and other benefits endorsed by supervisor and approved by factory manager
- Prepare inputs for the monthly payroll
- Vet pay vouchers prepared by the outsource agencies.
Audit Management
- Should have handled at least 3 audits independently in past experiences
- Should be able to provide required data to facilitate completion of audits
- Should be able to close audit remarks and gaps as identified as part of audits
Time & Attendance, Payroll & Salary Administration
- Monitor and Record reporting time of employees
- Prepare inputs for monthly payroll
- Coordinate with the Third Party - Outsourcing agency for attendance data and payroll
Performance Appraisal
- Assist units head in the development and setting of KRAs for staff in each unit
- Ensure staff performances are reviews through appraisals for all staff members.
- Provide support to managers and supervisors in the completion of performance assessment forms.
- Shares feedback of appraisal outcome with staff and initiate improvement programs for identified areas of improvement.
- Gives input in the computation and communication of annual merit increases to employees.
Recruitment and Selection
- Maintain data bank of unsolicited applications from job applicants and keep track of candidates interviewed
- Source cvs, shortlists applicants, and coordinates interview, selection and placement as required. Reference Check for new staff.
- Liaise without sourced contractors for replacement or filling new vacancy as required
- Prepare schedule and coordinates the orientation of newly engaged employees.
- Maintain and monitor staffing levels developed for the factory to ensure strict compliance
Training and Development
- Liaise with managers and supervisors on the regular identification of training needs of employees.
- Liaise with the Safety Manager to prepares yearly training plans for GMP, Fire drill and Safety committee meeting sessions
- Organize programs to facilitate staff development
- Organize induction program for all categories of staff
Health & Safety
- Undertake regular audit of the factory to ensure that health and safety standards and regulations are adhered to
- Maintain contact with employment agencies, Labour union, training service providers and security agencies
- Maintain record of all accidents and conducts investigations into accidents and submits reports on causes and preventive measures to factory management and Group HR manager.
Internal & External Communication and Relations
- Maintais contact with employment agencies, Labour union, training service providers and security agencies
- Responsible for Manpower Planning & Budgeting as per the agreed cost and productivity norms
- Ensuring Interdepartmental workflow is smooth and well coordinated
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure 100% adherence of the statutory compliances
- Keep track of application of various licenses & renewals for all the units
- Maintain good PR with all agencies
