Purpose

To design, develop and maintain robust backend systems and web applications, as well as work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions to achieve the mandate of the organisation.

Duties 

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Python and Django


• Build and consume RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework


• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code


• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security


• Integrate third-party APIs and services


• Implement authentication, authorization, and data protection best practices


• Develop and maintain databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL)


• Write and execute unit and integration tests


• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies


• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues
