Our Client, a social enterprise dedicated to bringing vital in-home sanitation services to low-income residents, is seeking to hire a highly skilled and motivated IT Officer to join its team. The incumbent will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's information technology infrastructure. He/She will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organizations' systems, providing technical support to users, and implementing IT strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
DUTIES
● Maintain and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and network systems to ensure that they are functioning properly and meeting the needs of the organization.
● Install, configure, and update software applications and operating systems to ensure that they are up-to-date and secure.
● Manage and monitor network security to protect against data breaches and cyber-attacks.
● Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure that data is secure and can be recovered in the event of a system failure or other disaster.
● Provide technical support and training to end-users to help them understand and use computer systems and software effectively.
● Maintain inventory of hardware and software, and making recommendations for upgrades and replacements as necessary.
● Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT systems are integrated with other business processes and are aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
● Keep up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments, and evaluate new hardware and software solutions to determine if they would be beneficial to the organization.
● Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulations, such as data privacy laws, industry-specific regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
● Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure that IT systems are operating efficiently and effectively.
