We are seeking an experienced MIS Inventory Officer to manage and improve our inventory data systems, ensuring real-time accuracy and efficiency in our inventory tracking and reporting. Job Summary: The MIS Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing the inventory database through the company’s Management Information System (MIS), ensuring accurate and timely reporting of inventory levels, movements, and forecasts. This role requires a blend of IT and inventory management skills to maintain data integrity, analyze inventory trends, and support decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and update the company’s MIS system to ensure accurate inventory data, including stock levels, movements, and reorder points. Ensure that inventory records are consistently accurate and aligned with physical stock. Generate regular inventory reports and analysis for management, highlighting stock levels, turnover rates, and potential discrepancies. Work closely with the procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure that stock data is up-to-date and reflects actual movements. Develop and implement system improvements to streamline inventory data entry and reporting processes. Monitor stock levels and provide alerts when reorder points are reached to prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Conduct regular audits of the MIS inventory data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with IT to troubleshoot any system issues and ensure the continuous functionality of the MIS platform. Provide training and support to other team members on the use of the MIS system for inventory tracking and reporting. Stay updated on new MIS technologies and trends to propose potential system upgrades or improvements.
