• Minimum HND/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil/Electrical Engineering or related field. • Minimum 10 years post graduate industry experience in a Managerial/Supervisory engineering discipline role in the energy sector. • Must strictly adhere to the Company's Rules. • Good English language, especially speaking and listening skills. • The Ability to effectively manage time and lead a team of subordinates. • Good organizational and administrative skills. • Good Interpersonal & Reporting Skills. • Analytic mind and systematic error diagnostics. • Proficiency in Microsoft packages - Excel, Microsoft Projects etc., AutoCAD, PDMS /other pipeline engineering software. • Experience with Safety Management Systems and computerised Planned Maintenance Systems.

Insight HR Solutions is mandated by one of its clients in the Energy Sector to recruit a Maintenance Manager for its operations in Ghana. The job is located in Accra.

 

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The maintenance manager is responsible for keeping the ground operations running by managing and overseeing all maintenance-related activities. This includes;

• scheduling and overseeing all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians and supervisors


• ensuring that all maintenance operations are done in accordance with company policy and OSHA guidelines


• ensuring the facility satisfies all industry regulations


• managing budgets


• forecasting, ordering, and price negotiation for spare parts inventory


• developing and implementing a (proactive) maintenance strategy


• firing/hiring maintenance staff


• coordinating the completion of complex repairs


• hiring subcontractors for specialized maintenance work and signing off on maintenance contracts


• looking for new ways/tools/assets to improve productivity and cut costs


• drafting maintenance reports


• develop technically and commercially Plant Automation solutions (hardware and software)


• continually evolve the working practices within the center to improve efficiency and productivity when producing software and documentation


• drive and implement rigorous quality standards for all aspects of the automation delivery from initial concept to final commissioning and handover


• design and Software Reviews of projects for most projects, including adherence to the Quality System


• ensure quality of deliverables for projects


• participation and technical contribution to customer and sales meeting


• drive productivity and risk management


• capitalize on business opportunities in clusters being served thereby ensuring high occupancy of resources.


• participate in, and drive development of automation strategy in line with standards rolled out by  Automation Solutions
