Purpose:

Responsible for managing and directing production activities within the factory. Coordinate the production of goods, ensures machines are repaired and running smoothly, and manages work on production line.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
 Planning, organizing and scheduling production meetings with factory manager and supervisors to discuss daily progress of production.
 Assessing resource requirement for production of goods.
 Estimating, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients and managers. Determining quality control standards.
 Supervising production processes and procedures.
 Assisting the factory manager to select order and purchase raw materials for production in the factory.
 Ensuring proper maintenance and handling of equipments and machines in the factory.
 Developing mechanisms that will improve production and reduce cost.
 Engage in hiring and staffing of personnel in the production unit.
 Ensuring that production targets are met at optimum levels.
 Coordinating with the HR Department to provide training for operators, supervisors and production assistants for maximum production and target achievements.
 Develop production schedules and duty assignments for all personnel in your department.
 Ensure compliance with workplace safety and general housekeeping.
 Report to management on all production activities.
Supervisory Responsibility
 Assigns duties to and monitors activities of production team and factory hand workers to ensure achievement of production targets.
 Identifies the training needs of immediate team members and organizes or recommends appropriate training for them.
 Assesses the performance of team members and reviews assessments for lower level employees.
 Administers discipline affecting immediate team members in accordance with the company’s disciplinary code and procedure

 Maintains contact with other line managers as and when necessary.
 Maintains contact with management and staff on regular basis to communicate currentstandards, procedures manufacturing products.
 Maintains contact with suppliers and regulatory authorities.

 Responsible for the efficient utilization of computers / electronic gadgets and other assets assigned to
the department.
 Responsible for the maintenance and development of standard operating procedures for all machines
and equipments.
