Our client a leading cement manufacturing company is seeking interested and qualified persons to assist with the operations of the factory as a MARKET DEVELOPER.
The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding the company’s market presence across designated jurisdictions. He or she will be promoting and selling the company’s range of high-quality products through retail channels, and will perform the following duties as well:
- Aggregate sales volumes from various retailers for Sales Representatives to order and deliver through distributors efficiently.
- Ensure regular visits to all retailers within the assigned territory to strengthen relationships, gather feedback, and address any concerns.
- Achieve the specified target number of bags sold monthly through the retail channel.
- Implement effective sales techniques to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction among distributors and retailers by promptly addressing their needs and resolving any issues.
- Develop and manage a target number of retailers that consistently purchase a minimum of 900 bags monthly.
- Provide support and incentives to encourage retailers to meet the set purchasing target.
- Ensure the retail price per bag remains within the target range.
- Monitor market conditions and competitors' pricing to make informed pricing decisions.
- Supply management with timely reports on competitive activities, market trends, and potential opportunities for new products and services.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Train shop attendants on products and basic bookkeeping to enhance their product knowledge and improve sales effectiveness.
- Ensure cement availability in the assigned circuit to meet customer demands promptly.
- Collaborate with distributors and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing strategies and support their execution in the assigned region.
- Provide feedback on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and suggest improvements.
- Engage in superior customer service and make information available for all products, events, and services.
