Job Purpose
The Marketing and Advertising Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement marketing and advertising strategies that support brand growth, sales targets, and market visibility. The role involves close collaboration with the sales team to plan and execute advertising campaigns, sales activations, product promotions, and brand communication initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Develop annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with the company’s sales objectives and brand strategy.
- Conduct market research to identify customer trends, competitor activities, and market opportunities.
- Support the Head of Sales and Marketing in designing marketing budgets and tracking expenditure.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing calendars and promotional activity schedules.
- Advertising and Brand Management
- Plan, develop, and execute advertising campaigns across traditional and digital media platforms.
- Liaise with external agencies, printers, and media partners for creative design, media placement, and production of marketing materials.
- Ensure consistent brand identity across all advertising and communication materials.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of advertising campaigns and prepare post-campaign reports.
- Sales Activation and Promotion
- Develop and implement trade and consumer promotions in collaboration with the sales team.
- Plan and oversee in-market activations, product launches, roadshows, and sponsored events.
- Work with the sales and distribution teams to ensure adequate visibility of brands at retail and wholesale points.
- Coordinate promotional materials, point-of-sale displays, and product samples for marketing activities.
- Digital and Public Engagement
- Manage the company’s social media presence and digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Develop marketing content for online platforms and ensure regular updates on products and promotions.
- Monitor customer feedback, online reviews, and competitor activities on digital platforms.
- Support public relations efforts, media relations, and corporate communication initiatives.
- Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Prepare monthly and quarterly marketing reports highlighting activities, results, and recommendations.
- Track marketing key performance indicators (KPIs) such as campaign reach, engagement, leads, and return on investment (ROI).
- Support the Head of Sales and Marketing in performance reviews of marketing initiatives and vendor partnerships.
