A reputable Paper Manufacturing Company seeks an Operator Supervisor. The Operator Supervisor will oversee machine operators and production staff in the manufacturing of cement sacks and/or paper packaging products. The role ensures smooth operations, adherence to quality and safety standards and optimal machine utilization to meet production targets.
Job description:
• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of machine operators on the shop floor.
• Monitor machine operations (printing, cutting, pasting, stitching, etc.) to ensure quality output and minimal downtime.
• Ensure production schedules are followed and targets achieved.
• Train, guide and support operators in machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Enforce safety standards and ensure operators use PPE and follow safe work practices.
• Inspect finished products for compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
• Work with maintenance teams to report and resolve machine breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records (shift reports, output, scrap/waste, downtime).
• Recommend improvements in processes, methods, and operator performance.
• Foster discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement among operators.
