• A Motor Vehicle Technician (MVT)(Part I and II); • Optional - A Higher National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile Option); • 3+ years industry (mining, heavy machinery service) experience in testing, maintaining heavy vehicle / machinery mechanical systems; • Experience in installation of mechanical, automotive and hydraulic components; • Experience in testing and maintaining electrical, electronics and instrumentation systems; • Experience in installation of electrical, electronics and instrumentation system components; • Excellent Literacy and Numeracy, and English Proficiency; • Excellent Computer Skills, good with email, excellent with Microsoft Word and Excel;

A manufacturing company producing municipal solid waste recycling equipment has a Vacancy for a Service Auto-Mechanical Technician position. The candidate will inspect, troubleshoot and repair auto-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and instrumentation components of the Parent Company’s proprietary Machines.

Tasks

1. Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance i.e. oil changes, belt checks, hydraulic systems checks, pneumatic system checks, fuel systems checks, engine checks, inspect wear and tear parts, inspect switch gear, inspect sensors, inspect PLC systems;


2. Trouble shoot, perform root cause analysis, and repair mechanical and hydraulic components of machines, electrical, electronic and instrumentation components of machines;


3. Programming of PLC, remote controls and frequency converters


4. Spare parts handling;


5. Send service maintenance reports to Head office;
