JOB DESCRIPTION
REPORTS TO: Mechanic Supervisor
JOB PURPOSE:
The role of the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler is to optimize technician productivity through best practice planning methods that support best practice scheduling and ensure safe, reliable machine Maintenance.
The Planner works jointly with mechanic Team, within specification requirements that supports safe work practices and plant safety and operational objectives.
The planner is responsible for providing data to support maintenance metrics.
The Maintenance Planner will be assigned to a centralized planning group reporting to the Mechanic Supervisor.
The Planners primary responsibility is to review notifications, create maintenance orders and plan labor and material required to execute the order.
Other duties can include scheduling, requisition of materials, maintenance order management and Database maintenance.
This requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a functional understanding of maintenance craft skills, tools and equipment in the areas of responsibility.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Comply with all site safety and environmental policies.
- Create and publish weekly and daily schedules
- Plan and arrange activities related with equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production supplies.
- Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications.
