• Have thorough understanding of client and sales dynamics across the the company and insurance market to leverage on contacts, relationships and relevant demographics to better position health insurance as a key component of financial protection.
• Harness opportunities and establish relationships with prospective clients to drive sales.
• Develop relationships with internal stakeholder units/departments
• Actively ensure entry and reporting of all prospective targets, actions undertaken, updates on progress and sales closed.
• Active involvement in product and sales training to ensure top-of- mind status of knowledge at all times
• Actively identify and report market feedback or data on products, services, pricing, etc for effective engagement of internal stakeholders to meet customer needs and product/service gaps
• Liaise with client relations/customer service unit or appropriate units/departments to ensure identified or reported customer needs and service gaps based on feedback from clients are met, considered or escalated accordingly.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products at all times
• Ensure sound knowledge of all product offerings, services and benefits including terms and conditions of the company product(s)
• Ensure minimum attainment of pass mark/score on product knowledge and selling skills assessments
• Effectively negotiate policy pricing with prospective and existing clients.
• Liaise with internal units and departments to ensure price negotiations are in compliance with approved rates of the company
• Seek required approvals from appropriate hierarchy or authority where price(s) agreed is outside stated limits.
• Assist clients in correct completion of applications for the company
policies
• Liaise with clients and/or their respective Human Resource units or other relevant authorized contact persons to ensure applications and matters surrounding applications are adequately addressed.
• Liaise with sales teams across the the company to identify market growth/cross-sell opportunities to increase product distribution and improve revenues.
• Initiate, execute and manage own sales/marketing strategies in line with business objectives to deliver targets and budgets
• Ensure brand compliance in undertaking all above and actively communicate according to company standards
• Employ effective Above-The-Line and Below The Line tactics to achieve targets
• Analyze market information and build understanding of customer bases, customer profiles, behavioral and lifestyle trends to identify opportunities for offering or increasing client’s insurance wallet/value. offering products
