STORES MANAGER

Our client, a food processing Industry is currently looking for a highly qualified individual to fill the role of a STORES MANAGER.
ROLE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking all stores activities. As the store manager, he/she will supervise the operational and organizational standards of the store. He would also be responsible for the following:
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and close all stocks whiles ensuring that stocks are accurate in terms of quantities without shortages.
- Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
- Maintain efficient running of cold store and a clean and good working environment.
- Manage all data to ensure that all records are safe for retrieval when needed.
- Responsible for receiving, storing, quality control and handling stock.
- Coordinate deliveries and check that all items received for quantity, quality and return or reject if rusted, near expiry or damaged.
- keep manual stock cards and update on daily basis.
- Prospect for customers and make sales and delivery.
- Create work schedules for workers to prevent absenteeism or poor working attitudes.
- Manage inventory and conduct stock audits to identify which food items have gone bad.
- Adhere to food safety norms and ensure that all workers respect company rules and regulations.
- Supervise staff during working hours to ensure that they perform effectively.
- Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements
- Maintain operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures.
