The duties of the CEO includes but is not limited to:
Formulate and execute the strategy and business plans of the Institute with approval from the Council.
Provide Council with periodic reports on the progress against plans and targets set by Council.
Report to Council on risks facing the Institute.
Monitor the financial position of the Institute and help in the development of strategies to achieve and maintain financial sustainability.
Lead the drive for membership and sponsorships as well as other sources of revenue to help the Institute achieve its aim of financial sustainability.
Ensure that sound financial and operational controls are implemented to mitigate the potential for financial fraud.
Oversee the development and execution of Institute events and activities — to include workshops, seminars, and conferences — ensuring that principles of high quality and professionalism are exhibited.
Build and maintain positive, beneficial relationships with all stakeholders
Stimulate and engender a knowledge-sharing and problem-solving environment, actively connecting members and creating opportunities for networking and connecting
Help to create and nurture a pipeline of potential members to encourage continued growth of membership.
Make operational decisions and approve business expenditure and activities in line with the approved business plan.
Ensure that the activities of the Institute adhere to the provisions of the Constitution and byelaws of the Institute.
Ensure best practice and high standards of ethics are always observed. Ensure that Statutory obligations and legal requirements are complied with
