• Direct and control the work and resources of the company and ensure the recruitment and retention of the required numbers.
• Develop a strategy and action plan to achieve defined KPIs and monitor progress intervals
• Provide strategic advice and guidance
to the chair and members of the board.
• Establish and maintain effective formal
and informal links with major customers,
relevant government departments and
agencies and other stakeholders
• Establish the brand as a market leader
through cutting edge research, development
and innovation that creates value
• Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the
implementation of the annual budget to
ensure that budget targets are met.
• Represent the company in negotiations
with customers, suppliers, government
departments and other key contacts to
secure for it the most effective contract
terms.
• Develop and maintain research and development programmes to ensure that the
company remains at the forefront in the industry
Devise cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion.
• Manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage.
• Develop and maintain Total Quality Management systems throughout the company to
ensure that the best possible products and services are provided to customers.
Other role details;
Must have at least 10 years’ senior level
experience of management of people and
resources.
• Must have wide knowledge of the
industry and commercial awareness
• Must have understanding of financial
management and wider management
principles and techniques.
• Must have excellent communication
and organisational skills
•Must have strong negotiation skills
and demonstrate team spirit.
• Political and presentation skills with an
appreciation of the demands of conflicting
interests and of meeting statutory
requirements.
