As an assistant security operations manager you must be able to solve practical problems quickly and efficiently when the need arises.
He must be able to handle paperwork and fill out reports for management.
He must be able to communicate well and be suspicious with all activities happening inside the establishment at all times. He must effectively respond to questions and
concerns raised by top management, customers and security staff as well. He must be
physically fit to take down intruders if necessary. He must possess supervisory and
management skills as he takes the place of the security manager when he is not available. He
must ensure that the security function fully meets this requirement.
Role:
Must assist the manager to Recruit, orient, and train security personnel on appropriate security rules and procedures
Ensure guards are ready and available for new business secured.
Develop and enforce security protocols, policies, and procedures necessary for safeguarding lives and property
Prepare and control the budget for security operations to ensure delivery of high-quality security services
Assign guard duties to security personnel to ensure effective distribution of workload
Keep track of incidents in order to evaluate them and recommend a course of action
Schedule shift patrol to ensure a building/property is guarded at all times
Order the supply of security tools and equipment required in carrying out security
