Description
Responsibilities
- Sales Performance: Working with the Sales Agents and team leaders to maximize daily sales productivity through continuous monitoring and evaluation to meet daily, weekly and monthly sales targets.
- Recruitment & Retention: Lead the process of recruitment with support from the local HR teams to identify and secure the best possible new hires whilst optimizing Agent retention through training, sales promos and incentives schemes and community utilizing the Culture Index tools.
- Data Analysis: Drive insights into Retail Sales performance through data analysis, implement improvements and monitor progress with reports to the Agent teams and senior management.
- Maximizing Channel Profitability: Understanding and owning the channel P&L and setting up right product mix to drive revenue as well as profitability.
- Continuous Improvement: Enhance all aspects of Retail Sales performance by implementing new technology to maximize the efficiency of the Retail Sales channel. Keen to push internal teams for automation of processes as much as possible to drive efficiencies and earn more against each unit of money spent on the channel
- Responsible for managing, training, and developing the entire Sales Team
- Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensures its strong presence
- Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching, and performance monitoring of sales agents
- Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
- Forecast sales, develop and test new sales strategies/models and evaluate their effectiveness
- Evaluate customers’ needs and build productive long-lasting relationships
- Attend and assist in running sales meetings, events and training for sales agents
- Motivate sales agents to achieve high sales volumes
- Manage sales agent leaders and training them on sales leadership
- Collate feedback from the sales team and escalate any customer feedback on the product
- Educate agents and hold them accountable for the company's policies
- Design and implement key market penetration strategy to increase product sales
- Identify key KPIs to measure sales performance
- Track, monitor, and report on sales agents’ performance and make appropriate adjustments
- Test different sales initiatives, track results and recommend changes
- Implement new product marketing and sales strategies
Experience and Qualification
- 4-year degree qualification required
- Proven sales supervisory experience for 4+ years, preferably in sales and agent management in an international organization
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management
- Professional experience in consumer sales, insurance, pharmaceuticals, FMCG, a plus
- Experience in developing and improving operational delivery processes
- Self-motivated and driven
- At least 4 years work experience, preferably in an international organization
- Strong track record of back-office performance, including administrative management, reports, contracts, business processes, and the like
- Great interpersonal, communication, leadership and negotiation skills
- Proven track record of creating, managing and developing teams
- Direct experience of selection for recruitment
- Appreciation and concern for the plight of low-income people
- Ability to work autonomously and take initiative; demonstrate self-motivation and energy, work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work as a team member with people across geographies and cultures
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential, local language knowledge preferred
- Navigation of Android-based mobile tablets; familiarity with mobile apps and digital web-based platforms
- Strong knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel or Access, but also Word and PowerPoint
