Vanguard Life Assurance Company Limited, a leading life assurance provider in Ghana, is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced Sales Manager to join its vibrant retail business team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and leading high-performing sales teams while driving business growth through innovative sales strategies and excellent client service.This role requires individuals who are strategic thinkers, exceptional motivators, strong networkers, and skilled sales leaders with the ability to consistently achieve monthly and annual sales targets. Candidates must be proficient in recruitment, coaching, business development, and key sales leadership competencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruit, train, develop, and lead a strong team of Sales Agents to consistently achieve sales targets (cases and premiums).
Drive high-quality prospecting, appointment booking, lead generation, referrals, and closing of sales.
Plan and execute successful institutional presentations, sales activations, and field marketing activities.
Provide effective leadership to the salesforce to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs).
Research, develop, and implement innovative sales strategies to meet monthly and annual targets.
Oversee all aspects of sales operations including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation.
Ensure accurate and timely vetting and submission of proposal forms.
Deliver professional sales practices and exceptional customer service at all levels.
Prepare timely, accurate reports on sales activities, team performance, and business inflows.
Requirements
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or relevant Professional Qualification in Insurance.
At least 2 years of experience in a sales leadership role within the insurance or financial services industry.
Proven competence in Agency Recruitment and the ability to build and manage a salesforce of 10+ Agents.
Strong leadership, people management, and emotional intelligence skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills (both verbal and non-verbal).
Strong networking abilities and the capacity to build and maintain profitable business relationships.
Skilled in sales forecasting, strategic planning, and decision-making.
A proactive solutions provider with strong business development acumen.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
