Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably within the Ghanaian market.
3. Experience managing distributors, stocks, wholesalers, and retail pharmacy networks.
4. Experience supervising field sales teams will be an added advantage.
5. A valid driving license is required.
6. Professional training in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or Pharmaceutical Management will be an added advantage.
7. Possess strong knowledge of pharmaceutical sales channels in Ghana.
8. Strong collection and credit management skills.
9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
10. Ability to analyse sales data and develop practical business recommendations.
11. Strong leadership and people management skills.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Summary
The Sales Manager will lead pharmaceutical sales operations across assigned territories in Ghana by driving revenue growth, expanding market coverage, managing trade partners, supervising a field sales team, ensuring product visibility, and achieving sales and collection targets. The role requires a results-driven professional with strong experience in pharmaceutical sales, distribution channel management, territory development, team leadership, and customer relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and collection targets.
- Develop and implement territory-specific sales strategies to drive business growth.
- Conduct regular field visits to pharmacies, distributors, wholesalers, stockists, and healthcare trade partners.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territories.
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and proper market coverage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stockists, distributors, wholesalers, and retail pharmacy networks.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure uninterrupted product supply.
- Negotiate business agreements and support channel partners to achieve sales objectives.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate a field sales team of 3 to 8 Sales Representatives.
- Set KPIs, monitor team performance, and provide coaching through joint field visits.
- Organize regular sales reviews, training sessions, and performance improvement discussions.
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments and monitor customer credit limits and ageing reports.
- Coordinate with customers and finance teams to resolve payment and account-related issues.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, product launches, and market trends.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market reports, performance reviews, and maintain accurate customer and sales records.
