- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Education
- Must be able to manage art supplies, equipment, tools and classroom, kiln and storage spaces.
- At least 3 years post qualification experience
- Ability to teach Primary school and JHS children
- Ability to teach pre-tech will be an added advantage

Description
Functions of Appointment
- Prepare objectives and outlines for visual arts, following GES curriculum and the modified curriculum of the school.
- Instructs pupils in art, such as painting, sketching, designing, and sculpturing: Prepares lesson plans and establishes course goals.
- Selects books and art supplies for courses. Demonstrates method and procedure to pupils.
- Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and inform management so that action will be taken.
- Collaborate with teachers and supervisors in the development, evaluation, and revision of Visual art activities.
- Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate children's progress in visual art.
- Organize projects and display children’s art works to motivate them and improve their progress.
- Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning and following approved curricula.
- Prepare lesson notes and submit upon request from immediate supervisors.
- Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations.
- Ensure to visit your classroom pupils who are absent for one week and more due to sickness.
- Plan and supervise class projects, field trips, and other educational tours/activities, and guide pupils to learn from those activities.
- Accompanies students on field trips to museums or art galleries.
- Observes and evaluates pupils' work to determine student progress or to make suggestions for improvement.
