Mr. Adam Imoro, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the East Mamprusi District, has said the assembly was some resurfacing 27.1km of roads at the cost of GH¢171,755.20.
He said the projects, being undertaken with the support of DANIDA, would improve the economic viability of beneficiary communities.
The DCE was addressing some participants at a forum in Gambaga, in the East Mamprusi District, at the weekend to outline some of the achievements of the government.
Some of the roads resurfaced are the Langbisi-Tangbini with 7km; Langbinsi-Wundua - 9.5km; Langbisi Junction - 4.4km; Saamini - 6.2km.
He commended DANIDA for its assistance, saying, he was hopeful that the district would attract more assistance from development partners because of its prudent financial management practices.
Mr. Imoro said in line with the government's development agenda, more roads, especially the Walewale-Gambaga road, would be tarred to ease the movement of goods and people.
He urged the youth to exercise restraint for the government to provide more employment avenues for them and advised them to acquire more skills and education to be able to fill vacant positions.
Mr. Isaac Asare Addo, the District Works Engineer, expressed concern about the bad road network in the area and urged the government to expedite action on their improvement.
