Mauritius and Turkey this week concluded the fifth round of negotiations on a free trade accord, the Indian Ocean island country' Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
The terms of the accord signed by the two countries provide that Turkey will levy preferential tariffs and unlimited access to all industrial products manufactured in Mauritius.
The preferential tariffs will be levied on textiles and clothing, utensils, jewels, watches and agricultural products of Mauritius.
Regarding textiles and clothing, Turkey proposed that they be original with simple transformation and that they attract preferential tariff for a period of four years.
In return, Mauritius will offer Turkey preferential access to all manufactured goods except sensitive products like meat, soap and paints.
