THE HOUSE OF LORDS INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DEFENCE COMMITTEE WILL THIS WEEK TAKE EVIDENCE FROM INTERNATIONAL TRADE, DEVELOPMENT AND GOVERNANCE EXPERTS AS IT EXPLORES THE UK’S RELATIONSHIP WITH SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA AS WELL AS THE ROLE OF THE AFRICAN UNION.
The sessions will cover the recent UK-Africa Investment Summit and the challenges to developing greater trade between the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the developing role and effectiveness of the African Union and its contribution to peace and security.
